The story

He was born Mohan Dugar on 13 May 1962 at Sardarshahar in Rajasthan, to Jhumarmal and Nemadevi Dugar. On 5 May 1974, aged twelve, he took diksha there from Muni Sumermal in the Terapanth sangh led by Acharya Tulsi. He studied and served closely under Tulsi and Acharya Mahapragya. In September 1997 he was named Yuvacharya, the designated successor, and after Mahapragya's death he became the eleventh acharya of the Terapanth on 23 May 2010.

In 2014 he set out from the Red Fort in Delhi on an Ahimsa Yatra with three messages: goodwill, morality and freedom from addiction. Walking with monks and nuns through 23 Indian states and into Nepal and Bhutan, the yatra covered more than 50,000 km before ending in Delhi in March 2022. He continues to lead the Terapanth order, travelling on foot and teaching Anuvrat and Preksha Meditation. His book Vijayi Bano was released in 2013.
